First Impressions

It’s not very often – in fact, it has never happened before – that I write a review without having actually tested the product, but such were my first impressions of receiving the Pink Perils, I at least thought it was worth a word or two… or three.

I’ve tended to meet baits which I sometimes consider as gimmicky with a degree of trepidation in the past, as I generally believe that a lot of products are designed to catch the angler rather than the fish. But upon first sight of the Perils, I was immediately impressed with their fluro qualities and the option to fish them at various sizes, so I dived in with an order.

I only had to wait two working days for their delivery, which I considered to be very impressive, particularly as I had also ordered a large quantity of bait from elsewhere in the range.

To me, they look and smell like something from the Hubba Bubba bubble-gum range, and give off a pungent, fruity aroma which I would consider to be quite alluring for carp.

I can’t wait to attach them to a pop-up rig in the next few weeks, because if the theory regarding fluro, fruity baits working well in winter is a just one, then I’m sure to be on to a winner.
